Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books. This weeks topic is… Top Ten Summer TBR.
It’s been a while sine I participated in TTT and this is the perfect topic for me to get back into it. I have so many books I want to read this summer. I’m afraid to narrow it to a top ten, but I’ll try my best. In no particular order:
Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater - I never actually finished the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but I LOVE Stiefvater and lately her books just keep getting better. I picked up an ARC at BEA and I am so excited to read it.
Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo - If you read this series, you understand my need to finish it. It came out today and I have the audiobook downloaded. This is a good excuse to finish those knitting projects I promised people.
The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling) - I loved the first one and am so excited for another old school mystery by one of my favorite writers.
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth - This book wasn’t on my radar until Lauren from Love Is Not A Triangle told me about it at BEA. It’s an adult fairy tale retelling that intertwines the fairy tale with real life history and everything about it sounds awesome.
Remember Me by Romily Bernard - Find Me was my number one book at BEA last year and I am DYING to read the next installment. Romily sent me a copy just before I left for BEA and it is the next thing I plan on reading.
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas - I spent a long time in line for this one and I am exstatic to be able to read it. Also slightly terrified.
On A Clear Day by Walter Dean Myers - This sounds phenomenal and I’m really hoping it’s something that I can put in my classroom.
Exquisite Captive by Heather Demetrios - I haven’t heard too much about this one, but it sounds awesome and I’m really looking forward to reading it.
The Walled City by Ryan Graudin - I’ve enjoyed Ryan’s blog for a long time and her book sounds awesome. I picked up a signed copy at BEA and can’t wait to see what all the buzz is about.
Great by Sarah Benincasa - The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favorite books and I’m so excited to read this modern reimagining.

YAY for Sinner and R&R. Very curious about your thoughts on the former - as we’ve discussed the latter. YESS for Bitter Greens! I was excited to get that at BEA. I’m eager to read your reaction to Remember Me, as I heard the scary phrase “love triangle” in conjunction with that one. But I don’t know if it actually materializes. You know how I feel about those :). I’m very interested in The Walled City and Exquisite Captive too. I picked up On A Clear Day at BEA too, but I know nothing about that. I need to get to reading the Throne of Glass series!!! Enjoy Heir of Fire. The Great Gatsby scares me. I don’t do those American tragic classics so well, but the cover of Great is gorgeous and I hope you love the book!

So many great books! I just finished Shadow and Bone yesterday and I really liked it! Who knows when I’ll be able to finish the series, though. And I still haven’t read that first Robert Galbraith book! And I call myself a J.K. Rowling fan! 😉 Hope you can get to all of these this summer and that you love all of them!
